Have you met the “paper detective?” Allow me to introduce you . . .
A freak accident in a paper mill has rendered Frank Folds something other than, or maybe in addition to, human. In Beacon, whether you’re born different or changed by a supernatural event, you’re referred to as a peculiar. With rain and crime and darkness as a Neo-noir backdrop, Frank Folds, the reluctant and “Paper Hero” is a gumshoe with a sword, learning that what it means to be human, is not always black & white. The PAPER HERO character and PROJECT come from the creative imagination of Derek Ambrosi, a member of the HITRECORD collaborative community. I’m so grateful to Joseph Gordon Levitt for creating such a welcoming creative space as HITRECORD and I’m honored that HR community members, Jeff Steven, Amalia Stephenson and Clinton Clark have allowed me to use their visual art and music created for the PAPER HERO PROJECT. The fantastic theme music you hear during these stories is Amalia’s “Paper Hero Blues,” which Clinton “remixed” into a second version, incorporating her fantastic vocal. Other things in store from the HR community include a proposed GRAPHIC NOVEL and a forthcoming TRAILER. I, for one, can’t wait!
